Is Channeling a Step to Awakening?

Channeling is NOT a step to Awakening, but Awakening is the next step for those who channel. Why? Because having the ability to channel is not the level of Mastery needed to complete the cycle of incarnations. It is a source of service that can lead to Mastery, it may contain guidance that can take one to Mastery, but a channel is not a Master unless that channel has Awakened fully and is expressing Mastery in every possible way. Channeling can be a trap that prevents Awakening. If the ego becomes arrogant about the channel being special, or considers channeling to be the ultimate in spiritual awareness, a true Awakening will probably not occur. The strength of this ego is in direct opposition to awakened awareness.

Channeling is a psychic phenomenon, just like having prophetic visions, clairvoyance, or healing powers. It only means that there is an inter-dimensional bridge between a channeled spirit and the channel. It is not reality. As long as the channel (clairvoyant, healer, etc.) believes in “self and other” there is still a veil of illusion to be lifted by Awakening. The act of channeling can lift the veil temporarily, similar to a “near death” experience, but Awakening lifts it permanently.

There are certain commonalities that all channels share: beliefs, lifestyle, being able to detach from the mind, and a desire to help others. A clear channel does not outwardly differ from these commonalities. The only quality that makes any given channel clear, is the lack of ego involvement in the channeling process. As long as an active ego still exists, there is the possibility of it distorting a channeled transmission.

When Awakening occurs, the controlling ego is demoted to a humble servant to divine consciousness. Its new role allows it to observe what occurs in daily life and assist when called upon. Instead of controlling the body/mind with its own agendas, it does nothing to interfere with the spontaneous expression of the body’s True Nature, the Master within. When True Nature leads, the muted ego accepts and does not even attempt to get involved.

Pure consciousness is the only true reality. Pure consciousness flows through a body/mind freely when all of mind’s concepts of duality disappear. The concept “me and other” is what creates a channeler. When there is no concept of “me” separate from all that is, pure consciousness may express as God, an Ascended Master, an Archangel, etc. “I AM consciousness” is pure consciousness no matter what form it presents itself as. It flows through the heart but is not limited to inside or outside of the body. It is this Oneness that is realized in an Awakening.

Channeling is a result of a compliant ego being willing to step aside for a temporary flow of pure consciousness. Awakening removes ego from its dominant control of the human mind so that I AM THAT I AM consciousness can flow freely without any interference. Information that was previously considered “channeled” is now fully available as “knowing.”

Why would someone who is Awakened be channeling? For the benefit of those who need the names of “others” for full acceptance of what is said.
